The Parramatta Female Factory Friends now have a home onsite located in the Matron’s Quarters and Administration Building.

Every second month on the third Friday (February, April, June, August, October and December) we host a Tea & Scones and Talk Day.

This is the schedule for the day:

  • 9:00 Research Rooms Open
  • Come and see the Herstory exhibition, which has artefacts and archaeological items in various displays.
  • Visit the Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe with everything from Books and Bargains.
  • At 12:00 pm, we hold our Bi-monthly Meeting (all members and non-members welcome). These meetings outline what the volunteers have been doing and outline future events.
  • 1.00 pm Afternoon Tea – served in the Ann Gordon Tea Rooms. Sit back, relax with a scrumptious afternoon tea with homemade slices and cakes.
  • 1:30 pm Guest Speaker (check this site under Events for the latest guest speaker and their presentation, and then go to our Facebook page for tickets.

Please Note: Our Researchers are available every Friday. However, you must make an appointment between 10 am and 2 pm. Just email us if you would like some research done on your family ancestors (members receive an hour of free research time).

All memberships need to be paid by direct deposit as indicated on the form – the Treasurer confirms the deposit and all memberships are tabled at the monthly Committee Meeting by the Membership Secretary.
