Models of the Class System
The above models represent the three classes of female convicts: 1st class (assignment, needlework, marriage bureau), 2nd class (working class – primarily laundry and loom work) and 3rd class (penitentiary), were known as the criminal class.
Static Displays

At the Parramatta Female Factory Friends Rooms we have a static display which showcases the female convicts that were in the Parramatta Female Factory.
If you want to see the Exhibition, please attend the Rooms any time after 9am on the third Friday of the Month and you can take your time walking around and viewing and reading many of the items on display.
If you need assistance, we have on hand the Parramatta Female Factory Friends Research Group who can help you with explanations or assist you in the interpretations.
Whilst at the Rooms, you can also enjoy a good cuppa in the Anne Gordon Tea Rooms.
